Visiting Madrid, Spain as a Single Man

I recently visited Madrid, Spain and had a great time. I wasn’t visiting Madrid as a single man (at least during the whole trip), but I was able to get enough time alone to realize something. Madrid, Spain is a very fun and interesting place for the solo traveler. It has a unique and friendly atmosphere as well as some of the most beautiful women I have seen while traveling. So is Madrid, Spain worth visiting if you are a man traveling alone?

Think you can piece it together that the answer is yes. While it may not be Pattaya Thailand, it is perfect for anyone who wants to have “fun” while still being able to tell their grandma about the trip. Madrid, Spain has everything a solo male traveler could want. Outstanding Food, Beautiful locals (who dress well), things to do during the day, and an amazing nightlife. There are also places to enjoy, let us just say, the company of women for a fee. This is available both on the street and in clubs. Let me dig in deeper as to why you should be visiting Madrid, Spain as a single man.

The Food is Amazing

I have been to 23 countries, Spain is up there with some of the best food in the world. Man has to eat and eat well he will in Spain. If you are like me and love pork (Jamón) or seafood this is the city for you. It is rare that a landlocked city has such great food but it does. It sports one of the biggest seafood markets in the world. This is an eating culture.

I feel like the food atmosphere makes it very easy to meet people. Tapas bars are packed with tourists and locals a like, everyone is friendly and easy to talk to. In the more crowded (touristy) food markets you share a table with others. This atmosphere is important when visiting Madrid as a single man. Traveling solo can be lonely sometimes, I feel like it is important to meet people. The delicious food, great wine, atmosphere, and vermouth make it easy to do just that.

The Women

Every time I travel I am reminded of just how unattractive the women in the United States have become. Madrid Spain reminds me of this once again. The women here look like, well women. They are all in shape, even older women. They carry themselves with class and confidence. They also are dressed to the nine, never caught in baggy T-shirts or hair rollers. I also saw considerably less tattoos.

I do not know why the women in America take such pride in wearing sweatpants to any event. Spanish women make themselves look presentable at all opportunities. My neck hurt from how many times I had to turn and look around. The accents do not hurt either. I think Spanish women are some of the most attractive in the world.

Things to Do During the Day

You aren’t going to be whoring at 1:30PM on a Tuesday, this isn’t Pattaya, Thailand. You are going to have to try to keep yourself entertained in more acceptable ways. If you like Museums, Madrid Spain has a ton of them. You can spend a day at the Prado, Museum alone. I have a soft spot for Art, so that suits me fine.

The Spanish Palace is really interesting, get a tour or go by yourself. It is huge and beautiful; it is great to see how the royal family lived. The parks are amazing and like walking into a museum as well. In fact, just walking the streets is something to be seen. When I wasn’t tilting my neck down at the women, I was looking up at the amazing statues that line the streets. If you want to spend your wad on clothes Gran Vía is an expensive but great place to do it. Just be sure to go up two sizes, Americans always run bigger.

If royalty, art, or parks aren’t your thing then just drown your troubles in a Vermouth or wine bar. Or have one, two or ten caña. Small beers that go great with Tapas. I already mentioned food, but a Tapas crawl is a great way to bridge the day and get you ready for the night.

visiting Madrid, Spain as a Single Man: The Nightlife

Visiting Madrid, Spain as a single man is recommended for the things I saw at night. This is a lively city during the day, but it really comes alive after dark. The streets are packed, like Tokyo packed all night. No really, people in Spain don’t sleep. It felt like a constant party. There are bars everywhere and it is a great place to mingle, but that is not why you’re reading this post.

The Ladies of the night

There are a boatload of hookers in Madrid Spain. Not sure what boat, but it is a fun one. To begin with, they line the streets the later it gets. I heard the parks that were so pleasant during the day, fill up with something a bit more fun at night. I was also told to avoid these women for various reasons. Even if you do not see obvious hookers, the men will shout to you want “Chica’s?” I am not sure if there is a problem with bringing the girl back to your hotel, I was with someone, but there is another solution.

There are clubs, I must have stumbled upon three of them just walking solo. I didn’t go in, but I know what happens. They are strip clubs. In a lot of non-U.S. countries, that translates to brothels. I saw some of these women standing outside their clubs. Really they weren’t the best of the best. While most Spanish women are classy, these were wh*res through and through. Still, it is so readily available that I needed a penis of steal just to stop myself from wandering.

There are hookers everywhere at night, one story said they even hang out in front of the police station. Prostitution is not directly made illegal in Spain. Pimping is, but to me that makes it even better. I do not want to deal with someone that is controlling the women. Visiting Madrid, Spain as a single man is made even better by the ladies of the night.

Conclusion: Visiting Madrid, Spain as a Single Man

Madrid, Spain is a place to get your fill of hookers, but still be able to tell your grandma about your trip. Tell people you went to Thailand, and they spray you with rubbing alcohol, it is no question why a single man would travel there. Madrid on the other hand has a great cover story. It is a beautiful capital city with great history. Yeah… that’s why you went, for the history.

The food is outstading, the non-hooker women are beautiful, and it is just a fun atmosphere. making visiting Madrid, Spain as a Single Man worth your time. Come for the Churros and Chocolate, stay for the “special” clubs!
